How Taskquatch® collects consent before sending text messages
How recipients opt in
Taskquatch is a home services marketplace app that connects customers with local service
providers. Consent to receive text messages is collected through a web form inside the
Taskquatch mobile app during account signup.
The person downloads the Taskquatch app and begins creating an account.
On step 2 of signup, they enter their mobile phone number.
The number is verified with a one-time passcode sent to that number.
On step 3 of signup, they must actively tick an agreement checkbox that discloses SMS
consent. The checkbox is unchecked by default and the account cannot be created until
the person selects it themselves.

What we send
Messages relate to the recipient's own account and tasks. We do not send marketing or
promotional content, and we do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for
their own marketing.
